Art 1 & 2 Advanced Art Computer Art Mr. Lawrence Montgomery

 

Computer Art

  • Students will become conversant in the language of the art and the computer operation process.
  • Students will learn to create original artwork on a variety of Graphic Art software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Students will learn the basic Elements of Design, Perspective and Color Theory.
  • Students will take part in applying their graphic skills to fulfilling the graphic needs of GWHS’s staff and student organizations.

ART ONE AND ART TWO

Course Goals

Apply artistic processes and skills, using a variety of media to communicate meaning and intent in original works of art.

Develop a respect and awareness for other cultures through a variety of class assignments that include a day in their life collage, Romare Bearden style, and a cultural heritage poster.

Advanced Art

Course Description advanced art

This is a one year course designed to introduce the students to the fundamentals of art practices and skills with an emphasis on drawing, design, color theory, anatomy, perspective, rendering, acrylic painting, portraiture, still life, landscape, art critiques, and learning the “language and vocabulary of art.”

 All coursesl follow the guidelines found in the California State Visual and Performing Arts Content Standards.
